As an Adventure Pro, you will play a vital role in ensuring every customer leaves inspired and well-equipped for their next adventure in Southwest Florida and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and actively engage to understand their outdoor needs and interests
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate gear, apparel, and accessories based on their activity plans and skill levels
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, and proper usage to enhance customer knowledge and confidence
• Maintain organized merchandise displays, ensure stock levels are adequate, and restock items as needed
• Provide expert advice on outdoor equipment maintenance, safety tips, and local outdoor adventure recommendations
• Process sales transactions accurately while delivering excellent customer service throughout the shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the sales floor is clean, safe, and inviting at all times
• Proactively work to gain experience and knowledge of local outdoor areas and the gear that best suits exploring those areas
• Provide guidance on tours and rentals while helping customers to make reservations and prepare for their adventure
• Participate in professional development opportunities
• Help to manage and maintain our fleet of rental equipment, and transport equipment rentals to local launch sites and homes
• Assist customers in getting on the water with the service and repair of paddle sports equipment, roof rack systems, accessory installation, and more
• Help customers prepare for their next big trip or adventure by outfitting them with the equipment they need

Skills

• Strong passion for outdoor activities including paddling, hiking, camping, fishing, biking, and more with a desire to share that enthusiasm with others
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen attentively and provide clear guidance
• Knowledge of outdoor gear brands, product features, and safety standards is highly preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization, attention to detail and anticipating needs
• Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to solving problems and exceeding expectations
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed (excluding New Years Day, East Sunday, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)
• Previous retail or outdoor industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided
